Exciting Enhancements for 2018

Medical

NEW! UnitedHealthcare medical plans

In addition to Aetna, Kaiser, and Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA), we’re adding new medical plan options through UnitedHealthcare (UHC), giving you even greater provider access. The UnitedHealthcare plans will offer options, coverage, and employee monthly costs comparable to our Aetna plans:

  • HDHP Standard
  • HDHP Premium
  • PPO
  • EPO

UnitedHealthcare offers all of these great features:

  • Available in all locations.
  • A national network of providers.
  • Access to Harvard Pilgrim Network for employees who live in Massachusetts, Maine, and New Hampshire.
  • Access to University of Utah network for employees who live in Utah.

Why change networks?

Are you looking for more options when it comes to providers and services? If so, you may want to consider changing your medical plan carrier to UHC. You’ll find that many doctors, hospitals, and other providers are in both the Aetna and UHC networks. But in your area, one network might have more of the providers that are important to you.

To find providers in your area, just visit the UnitedHealthcare website (no login needed).

Aetna and UnitedHealthcare medical plan enhancements

  • Acupuncture services will be covered just like an office visit.
  • Non-insulin syringes will be covered under all plans.
  • Out-of-network deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums will increase for the HDHP Premium and PPO plans, so be sure to stay in-network for your services.

Kaiser HMO medical plan changes

Hearing aids are now covered under the Kaiser plans. Be sure to check out the information in your plan summary.

REMINDER! Virtual visits available through Aetna, Kaiser, and UHC

As an Aetna, Kaiser, or UHC member, you can see a doctor on your mobile device or computer when you need care for minor medical concerns like a cold or the flu. Call your health plan or log on to your plan’s website to access these programs.

Let ALEX help you

Get help making your medical, dental, and vision enrollment decisions with ALEX, your personal online and interactive benefits counselor. He’s here to guide you through your Benefits Enrollment options and help you find the ones that are just right for your situation.

Prescription drugs

Our prescription drug provider for the Aetna and UHC plans will now be CVS Caremark. There are no changes for our Kaiser and Hawaii Medical Service Association (HMSA) members.

More pharmacies to choose from

CVS Caremark has an extensive pharmacy network and a mail-order option, too. You’ll still be able to use the pharmacies you use today, like Walgreens, plus many new ones, like Target pharmacies and many other familiar retail locations.

New ID cards coming

You’ll receive a new medical ID card from Aetna or UnitedHealthcare and a separate CVS Prescription Drug ID card in your home mail within the last two weeks of December. Be sure to use the new card after January 1, 2018. If you don't receive your ID cards before January 1, 2018, log on to the plan's website or download the plan's mobile app to access a digital copy of your ID card.

Dental

We’re switching our dental provider from Aetna to Delta Dental and adding a Premium Plan. This new plan offers greater coverage than the Standard Plan:

  • $2,500 annual maximum.
  • $2,000 orthodontic lifetime maximum.
  • Diagnostic and preventive services covered with 100% coinsurance, basic services covered with 90%, major services covered with 70%, and orthodontic services covered with 50%.
  • Three cleanings per year.

We’re also offering more network providers to choose from. You’ll have greater network access and better network discounts than you do today. That means you’ll have more in-network providers to choose from, and you may pay less for care.

Flexible Spending and Health Savings Accounts

We’re switching our provider to ConnectYourCare, which offers 24/7/365 member services, so you’ll be able to get assistance at any time. Plus, you’ll be able to begin investing your HSA dollars as soon as your balance reaches $500.

If you have a balance in your WageWorks HSA, don't worry! In December, you’ll receive additional information about how to transfer your funds to the new ConnectYourCare HSA.

And get ready to contribute even more to your HSA and Health Care FSA in 2018!

  • HSA limits: $3,450 for single coverage ($50 more than 2017) and $6,900 for family coverage ($150 more).
  • Health Care FSA limit: $2,600 ($50 increase).

Employee Assistance Program

Effective immediately, you can get eight—rather than six—free counseling sessions to help manage stressful situations, challenging relationships, anxiety, grief, loss, and more. CONCERN is our new EAP vendor.

What’s staying the same?

In addition to the new UnitedHealthcare medical plan options, the Aetna and Kaiser medical plans (available in California and Oregon) will continue to be offered. Hawaii employees will continue to have the HMSA plan as the only medical option.

WageWorks will continue to administer our wellness program and commuter benefits.

Enrollment Checklist

Action is required this year: Enroll by December 1

Submit your elections by 4 p.m. Pacific Time on Friday, December 1. If you don’t, you won’t have Salesforce medical, dental, or vision coverage, or an HSA or FSA, in 2018. The benefits you elect will be effective January 1–December 31, 2018.

Follow these steps to enroll in Salesforce benefits:

  1. Review your benefits options. Be sure to use the resources and tools available to you, including ALEX, your personal online and interactive benefits counselor. And attend the Benefits Open House event at your work location.
  2. Go to the Aloha Single Sign On (SSO) page and log in to Workday by clicking on the Workday tile.
  3. Submit your elections by 4 p.m. Pacific Time on December 1, 2017.

Enrollment tips

Keep these in mind as you get ready to enroll for your 2018 benefits:

  • Be sure to have your dependents’ birthdates, Social Security numbers, and addresses on hand when you’re enrolling them in coverage. This will save you time when you’re online and ready to enroll!
  • Make sure your beneficiaries are up to date for your life insurance (via Workday) and 401(k) Savings Plans (via Fidelity). Be sure your family has financial protection against the unexpected.
  • Think about how much you typically spend on health care and your household budget. Then, make sure you’re contributing the right amount to your HSA to pay for expenses and save for the future.
  • Estimate your annual expenses and Health Care FSA contributions so that you don’t lose money! Review your Health Care FSA contribution amounts to be sure you’re contributing the right amount for 2018.

Questions? Log a case in Concierge via Salesforce1 or Aloha Single Sign On (VPN required), or call 1-855-376-5627.
